Nação Zumbi & The Young Gods (Montreux, 2016)
From CHF 29.00
Format
Exactly 30 years ago, the 4th Young Gods album “TV Sky” was released. A timeless record, surely the most accessible and the most effective and certainly the most successful. This cathedral of sounds, of which “Skinflowers” constituted the vault, allowed this avant-garde group and creator of a new style to conquer a very large audience. The primordial shadow of the Doors floated throughout this record which ended with a sort of hypnotic road trip that announces the rest of their more atmospheric career. With Roli Mosimann (the fourth member of the group) once again at the helm of production, “TV Sky” enters the very closed club of rock “Masterpieces” albums.
When asked about the most influential groups in the early 1990s, Mike Patton (Faith No More), Devin Townsend, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Al Jurgensen (Ministry), Trent Treznor (Nine Inch Nails), also The Edge (U2), from the outset, they all quote The Young Gods. All connoisseurs will tell you that they have their place in any ultimate discotheque.
On this occasion of their anniversary, the record is reissued as a remastered version. In gatefold double vinyl version with remix bonus and live tracks and digipack cd including remix bonus.
